Technology updates
To support the fast maturing market, the LF Decentralized Trust project ecosystem continues to evolve and grow. A line-up of new projects, releases, and labs are bringing news approaches to meeting critical large-scale implementation requirements. These include:
CLPR (“clipper”) is a new bridgeless cross-ledger messaging protocol lab contributed by Hedera and developed by the Hashgraph team. It uses state proofs so that independent blockchain networks can directly verify each other’s states with no intermediaries. When used with an application built on it, CLPR can enable assets, data, and messages to move securely across ledgers without bridges, pooled liquidity, or intermediary validator networks.
Panurus, a new platform neutral token infrastructure project, serves as a reusable foundation for blockchain-based asset management. It is the evolution of the Hyperledger Fabric Token SDK lab and has already been deployed in CBDC projects in multiple markets. It addresses the critical privacy, performance, and compliance requirements for deploying tokenized assets that comply with real-world regulatory and operational demands.
Hyperledger Cacti 3.0, the biggest release in the project’s history, transitions it from a set of connectors to a general-purpose infrastructure for cross-chain research and financial interoperability. It delivers production-grade cross-chain, use-case driven interoperability infrastructure that addresses the need to move value, data, and trust across independently operated ledgers — safely, verifiably, and in a way that can be standardized.
LF Decentralized Trust will also be hosting an invite-only technical workshop in New York City October 22-23 for banking leaders, financial institutions, and core developers building decentralized privacy architectures. The agenda will feature technical deep dives and roadmap updates from open source maintainers and cryptographers advancing zero-knowledge proofs, secure multi-party computation, and confidential computing.
Latest case study
The newest addition to the LF Decentralized Trust case study library also spotlights the role of LF Decentralized technologies, in this case Hiero, in establishing tokenization infrastructure. The case study, Bridging Two Worlds of Digital Money: A Token Interchange Built on Hiero, details Project Acacia, an initiative by the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) and the Digital Finance Cooperative Research Centre (DFCRC) to explore how different forms of digital money, paired with new infrastructure, could support the development of wholesale tokenized asset markets in Australia.
“We have reached a tipping point for commercialization of digital assets,” said Daniela Barbosa, General Manager, Decentralized Technologies, Linux Foundation, and Executive Director, LF Decentralized Trust. “Billions of dollars of assets are already moving across production systems powered by LF Decentralized Trust technologies with more large-scale deployments going live in the coming weeks. As the newest members and technology updates underscore, our community and our technologies are at the core of the next generation of money, including tokenized assets, stablecoins, and CBDCs.”

The 12 new general members include three, Swift, Well Fargo, and Zeeve, that are rejoining the community, another sign of escalating importance of LF Decentralized Trust and its technologies.
“Brickken is joining LF Decentralized Trust because its mission perfectly aligns with our vision of building the infrastructure that lets software act within the financial economy responsibly, with clear authority and a verifiable record. Being part of LF Decentralized Trust will allow us to develop that agentic layer alongside other leaders in the field, so the agentic economy is built on open foundations rather than closed ones.“ — Edwin Mata, CEO and Co-Founder of Brickken.
“Security is the foundation every enterprise blockchain deployment ultimately depends on, and as regulatory scrutiny of digital assets intensifies globally, that foundation matters more than ever. Joining LF Decentralized Trust lets CertiK bring our formal verification and security expertise directly into the open source development at the core of enterprise, financial institution, and government deployments. We’re looking forward to working alongside this community to help set the standard for what trustworthy, production-grade decentralized systems look like.” — Ronghui Gu, Co-Founder and CEO of CertiK.
“Cosmos joining LF Decentralized Trust is a natural way for us to evolve our commitment to open source and marks another step in accelerating institutional adoption of blockchain. We started building the Cosmos stack as an open source project in 2014, and today, hundreds of companies use it for their digital ledgers and to connect to different ecosystems. As part of LF Decentralized Trust, Cosmos has a seat at the table, and we’re glad to bring our work in digital assets and interoperability to the community.“ — Barry Plunkett, Co-CEO of Cosmos.
“At DCP Co., Ltd., our vision is to build a new financial infrastructure guided by our core philosophy of ‘digitalizing every form of value and its role to connect intentions with business’ through our tokenized deposit platform, ‘DCP.’ For tokenized deposits to become the foundation of global finance, interoperability, robust security, and neutral yet strict compliance are essential. The mission of LF Decentralized Trust aligns perfectly with our vision, making our participation a natural and inevitable step in our journey. We are deeply honored to collaborate within this open ecosystem to co-create the next generation of financial infrastructure.“ — Yoshio Hirako, CEO & COO, DCP Co., Ltd.
“Institutions will not adopt decentralized infrastructure at scale unless it can meet real-world requirements for confidentiality, compliance, interoperability, and accountability. EthSystems is joining LF Decentralized Trust because open standards and neutral collaboration are essential to addressing these challenges. We look forward to contributing our experience across Ethereum, privacy technologies, and institutional systems to help turn promising research into trusted, production-ready infrastructure.” — Mo Jalil, Co-founder and CEO, EthSystems.
