Since May 2015, Daniel has served as CEO and Co-Founder of SymphoPay, one of Europe’s pioneering companies developing solutions for retailers aiming to enhance customer experience in a multichannel environment. SymphoPay connects all payment terminals — fixed or mobile — to a central platform capable of integrating marketing and loyalty campaigns in real time.
Previously, Daniel was CEO of PayU SEE, where he oversaw the company’s growth in Romania and across the broader South-Eastern Europe region.
A business strategist with over 25 years of experience in IT, e-commerce, online payments, and software distribution, Daniel co-founded GECAD ePayment — the Romanian e-commerce integrator acquired by Naspers in 2010 and rebranded as PayU.
Over his career, he has played a key role in multiple national and international projects, including the development of RAV Antivirus (security technology acquired by Microsoft in 2003) and Avangate, a global e-commerce, software distribution, and partner management platform for software companies worldwide.
