Daniel has a wealth of experience of over 20 years in the field of e-commerce. He started as CTO at Gecad ePayments in January 2002. Since 2008, at Avangate, he first held the position of Business Development Manager, being responsible for the launch and development of the business in the USA, and later he was Chief Product Officer covering the product vision and
go-to-market strategies.
Between 2010 and 2015, Daniel joined the PayU Group team, first as country manager, later becoming CEO for the Southeast Europe region. During this period, he has not only successfully led PayU Romania, but he is one of the few key people behind the success story of PayU Turkey.
Since July 2015, Daniel has been the CEO and co-founder of Symphopay, a payment platform acting as a digital layer on top of bank systems, helping merchants and banks to integrate and use payments as a business tool to create customer engagement while optimizing the costs.
Daniel has a Bachelor in Automation and Computer Science at Universitatea Politehnica București
