PicPay has just launched a first-of-its-kind experience, enabling customers to access their financial information directly through ChatGPT, with secure authentication and natural language interactions. Now customers can check their finances in plain language, right inside the assistant. No extra cost. And it works no matter which ChatGPT plan you’re on. But there’s a limit in this first phase: consultation only. No transfers, no payments through ChatGPT. You can read your money. You just can’t move it.. yet. Access will be gradually released through a VIP list and is unprecedented in its category.
PicPay announced that is now offering a plugin for ChatGPT, the first of its kind in its category, allowing customers to access financial information through the generative AI platform. “With this new feature, users will be able to access their PicPay account information directly in ChatGPT through a PicPay plugin, using natural language commands after secure authentication within the app itself. This initiative represents a new model of interaction between customers and financial services based on generative artificial intelligence.” – according to the press release.
Access will be gradually rolled out through a VIP list for clients, free of charge and available to Android and iOS users. The feature will be available to ChatGPT users, regardless of their platform subscription plan.
Currently, the experience is focused on financial consultations and monitoring, without transactional execution. To connect your account to ChatGPT, simply search for PicPay in the “Plugins” tab and follow the connection steps.
Among the available features are:

. Viewing outstanding invoices
. Investment consultation
. Viewing active cards
. Access to the list of favorite Pix payments.
. View recent releases
. Preview of upcoming releases
Customers will be able to ask questions such as:
“What is my available balance?”
“Do I have any bills due this week?”
“What expenses are planned for the coming days?”
“With generative artificial intelligence, we are taking another step towards transforming customers’ relationship with their financial lives, bringing the PicPay experience to the digital environments where users already are and creating simpler, more natural, and contextualized interactions,” says Eduardo Chedid, CEO of PicPay.
The plugin uses OAuth authentication, in which the user is redirected to the PicPay app to confirm their identity and authorize access to specific data — such as balance and transaction history. All data exchanges follow PicPay’s security standards and comply with the LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law). The connection can be disabled at any time by uninstalling the PicPay app from ChatGPT.
PicPay also debuts advertising on ChatGPT
Beyond its financial services, PicPay is also among the Brazilian brands advertising on ChatGPT, in an initiative that combines communication, service, and experience in the same digital environment. The campaign is being developed with BETC Havas, which is participating in the ChatGPT advertising pilot in Brazil.
The campaign’s goal is to present relevant information while people explore possibilities, compare alternatives, and make decisions on ChatGPT. The ads are clearly identified as sponsored content, appear separate from the responses, and do not influence ChatGPT’s responses.
