NETOPIA Payments has entered a new phase of strategic development following the National Bank of Romania’s (BNR) approval to expand its payment institution license to include money remittance services.

The regulatory approval marks an important milestone in NETOPIA’s evolution and strengthens its position as one of the few platforms in Romania with fully licensed capabilities spanning both payment acceptance and money remittance under a single technology infrastructure.

NETOPIA currently processes more than RON 10 billion in transactions annually and serves a community of more than 25,000 merchants.
