Mastercard and Backbase announce strategic collaboration to accelerate AI-native banking transformation
Mastercard and Backbase are collaborating to help financial institutions strengthen customer engagement, enhance decision-making and advance their digital transformation ambitions through a combination of data insights, cybersecurity and banking technology capabilities.

As financial institutions continue to modernize their operations and customer experiences, the collaboration provides access to capabilities that support personalization, analytics, customer engagement, and cyber resilience.
Key capabilities available through the collaboration include:
- Dynamic Yield by Mastercard, which can support personalization and customer engagement across digital banking journeys.
- Test & Learn, which can help financial institutions assess the commercial impact of product, pricing, campaign, and customer experience changes.
- SpendingPulse, which can provide macroeconomic and sector-level spending insights to support business decision-making.
- Cyber Quant, which can support cyber risk assessment and resilience conversations with financial institutions.
