Garanti BBVA Turkiye brings the banking experience to ChatGPT
Garanti BBVA has taken another step in bringing the digital banking experience to generative AI platforms. Following BBVA’s launch of the ChatGPT app experience in Italy and Germany, the service is now available in Türkiye through Garanti BBVA. “As one of the first financial institutions featured in the ChatGPT app library, Garanti BBVA enables users to access up-to-date information about its banking products and services directly within the ChatGPT chat experience.” – according to the press release.
“By adding the Garanti BBVA app to their ChatGPT conversations, users can obtain information quickly and easily on a wide range of topics, from credit cards and loans to investment products and digital banking services, without ever leaving the ChatGPT experience. While the app provides information about products and services, it does not access personal or financial data, nor does it perform customer-specific transactions.” – the bank explained.
Commenting on the launch, Garanti BBVA Executive Vice President Ceren Acer Kezik said: “For us, technology and innovation are not only key drivers of digitalization but also among the most important tools for shaping the future of banking. Generative AI is redefining the way people access information and interact with digital services. By being present on the digital platforms where our customers already are, we aim to make the banking experience a natural part of their everyday lives.
Following the launch of this experience by the BBVA Group in Europe, we are now bringing it to Türkiye and making the Garanti BBVA app available to our users on ChatGPT. We believe this new step will pave the way for new possibilities in the interaction between financial services and artificial intelligence. As we have done to date, we will continue to transform new technologies into tangible value for our customers, develop innovative experiences that drive transformation in banking, and bring to life applications that will shape the future of the industry.”
How can users access the Garanti BBVA app through ChatGPT?
After logging in to ChatGPT, users can open the Apps section from the left-hand menu, select the Garanti BBVA app, and connect it to their ChatGPT account by selecting the Install App option. Once the connection is complete, they can start interacting with the app in any conversation by typing @GarantiBBVA, allowing them to access up-to-date information about Garanti BBVA’s products, services, and banking processes directly through ChatGPT.
