ABN AMRO and Mistral enter strategic partnership to explore and develop AI-powered solutions for the bank
“The partnership is the first between Mistral and a leading Dutch bank” – according to the press release.
“Through its partnership with Mistral, Europe’s fastest-growing Frontier AI lab, ABN AMRO gains access to frontier AI capabilities developed and governed in Europe, reducing dependence on non-European technology providers and supporting the key transitions shaping Europe’s future. The collaboration combines ABN AMRO’s deep banking expertise with Mistral’s advanced, independent AI capabilities. Together, the partners will develop high-impact AI applications that meet the bank’s standards for security, transparency, privacy and regulatory compliance; and that are aligned with European values.” – the bank said.
Carsten Bittner, Chief Innovation & Technology Officer at ABN AMRO: ‘Partnering with Mistral allows us to leverage state of the art AI capabilities while committing to trusted European innovation. In a rapidly changing world, Europe’s ability to remain digital resilient, competitive and strategically autonomous is more important than ever. Together, we are helping build a safer and more innovative future for our customers, businesses and society.’
Marjorie Janiewicz, Chief Revenue Officer at Mistral: ‘ABN AMRO is one of Europe’s most forward-thinking financial institutions. Their commitment to building AI on their own terms – with full control, full transparency, and a clear view of the value it creates – is exactly the standard we believe every major European institution should set. We are proud to be their partner in that ambition.’
