Utku OgrendilUtku is an expert with extensive experience in the financial and banking field. He has over 15 years in retail banking where he has held, over time, management positions in important banking institutions: Director of Retail Banking at Banca Transilvania, Vice President Libra Bank, Deputy General Director Garanti Bank and Vice President at Credit Europe Bank.
Since 2011 he has been acting in the non-banking financial services, where he built a successful career in the field of payments. First at SIBS Group, a European card processor, being responsible for the activity in 5 countries: Romania, Moldova, Serbia, Kosovo and Hungary.
Starting with June 2021, he holds the CEOs position at PayPoint Romania, the main in-store payment operator for a wide range of services, delivering technology and innovative solutions in over 25.000 branded locations.
PayPoint is now the first choice for millions of consumers, whether we talk about cash payments in retail stores for most utility and service providers in Romania, card payments via POS or payments on digital platforms. The company processed over 100 mln. transactions in 2023. Separately, over 13 mln. payments were made through 24pay, #themusthaveapp owned by PayPoint Romania.
