Arturo is the vice-chair of the European Third Party Providers Association, and co-Chair of the SPAA initiative (SEPA Payment Account Access) which aims to provide open payments through a scheme based approach with a fair distribution of value and risk between market participants. Building on top of PSD2, it extends to include premium payment services and aims to be the stepping stone for a sustainable open data model.
Before that, he was the chief executive officer of Eurobits, the company that introduced account information services in Europe in 2004. Arturo launched Eurobits, went through a management buyout and ultimately sold the company to Tink, which is now a part of Visa.
His career has been marked by his role in the introduction of high-tech products and services to the financial sector. Arturo is also the chair of AEFI and the Spanish Fintech and Insurtech Association
