Alec is Associate Faculty at Royal Road University in Victoria, Canada, where he teaches in the MA Global Leadership Programme, and newly minted entrepreneur in his native country Romania, where he co-founded Re-Genera Group, a business that offers bio-diversity aware, climate adaptive solutions for the energy transition to solar power.
He received his Ph.D. in Anthropology at the University of California, Irvine, and he is the author of three books with themes pertaining to material culture, technology, and society. They draw from his extra-academia experience not only in the healthcare industry and automotive, but also state administration, and cultural diplomacy.
The fourth book, upcoming at Springer Nature Editions, tackles the AI revolution in conjunction with Climate Change, and proposes a humanist, anthropological approach based on understanding nature, culture and technology as a tripod structure that organizes human life.
What Alec says about himself:
“I am passionate about translating cultural differences into sources of inspiration, research results into strategies, and meaning into action.”
