Radu TopliceanuRadu has been working in the banking field since 2002. At that time, he started his professional career at Raiffeisen Bank Romania, as Director responsible for digital banking, a field he has always been passionate about.
Now, Radu is an Executive Vice President in Mashreq, a half century old bank, which proudly thinks and acts as a challenger, startup and innovator, being recognized by Euromoney as the Best Digital Bank in the Middle East for the 5th year in a row. He is Head of Mashreq Neo and Personal Banking, leading the efforts to offer a seamless digital banking experience to its rapidly-growing customer base (610 000 active clients, +35% YoY).
Prior to joining Mashreq, Radu was Deputy CEO and Head of Retail Banking at BRD Groupe Societe Generale in Romania, spearheading transformation into a customer first, omnichannel bank providing personalized engagement, doubling the number of active digital users to 1 MM+ over 3 years.
He has also held leadership roles at major international banks in Singapore, and Austria. Earlier in his career he spearheaded Raiffeisen Bank Romania transformation from product led into customer centric organization, increasing profitability and client satisfaction, and he pioneered digitalization in Romanian market, building award winning call center, internet and mobile banking solutions and leading client adoption of digital.
He holds an engineering degree and an MBA from top Romanian and USA institutions and an Executive Retail Banking diploma from CBA in the USA.
