Ștefan Gergely

Stefan is a Serial Entrepreneur, Growth Hacker and expert in Blockchain Technologies. His entrepreneurial background is an agency that he co-founded and exited as well as a cryptocurrency startup.

He is the founder of Aurus.io, a company that’s building a 100% gold backed cryptocurrency. He is a partner in Under Development Office, one of the first software companies in Europe to develop blockchain technology solutions as a service.

Stefan was involved in multiple blockchain projects as a partner or as a consultant where he applies his knowledge and experience in game theory.

Stefan also co-founded the Romanian “ATA” – Association of Advanced Technologies, a group that supports blockchain growth in Romania from and educational and legal perspective.

He is currently the Head of Growth at Veridion (formerly Soleadify) – a startup that uses ML to understand 700 billion webpages per week in order to build and maintain a database of 80M businesses worldwide. A typical college dropout with 2 startup exits under his belt and a different type of exit from the TU/e in the Netherlands.

“Ever since I started high school, entrepreneurship and technology became my thing. I come up with ideas and I do my best in making them real. I work alongside Under Development Office, a software development company based in Bucharest; StartRec Studios, a music production studio also in Bucharest, and as a co-founder of a software startup called Acquainted.

After diving deep into the blockchain space, working on Aurus to properly tokenise gold and assets, working with Emro Ventures on a very interesting project and advising a few other blockchain startups, I’m taking a look at the Big Data / AI world with Dimely.

My goal now is to create and work with what I like to call “f*ck you” companies. A “f*ck you” company is either a humongous vision, a ridiculous team, awesome idea or a huge name. Or better yet, all of these combined.”
