In terms of professional experience Andrei started the career in Corporate Finance at the Banco Portugues de Investimento at Porto headquarters. Afterwards Andrei did macroeconomic research and forecasting for the Portuguese Social Security Fund, the biggest investment fund in Portugal.
In Romania Andrei worked for seven years as a fundamental analyst and macroeconomist on the capital markets. Starting 2014 Andrei is the Chief Economist of Banca Transilvania (the largest lender in Romania) and a Researcher at the Institute for World Economy, within the Romanian Academy.
Andrei is a constant presence at International Conferences on macro-financial topics and in international and domestic mass-media, including Bloomberg.
