Doru Lionachescu

Member of the Board of Directors of Banca Transilvania

Doru Lionăchescu is one of the newly appointed members of the Board of Directors for the 2026–2030 term. Since 2022, he has also been a member of the Board of Directors of Salt Bank. He brings over three decades of experience in the financial sector, advisory, and corporate governance, with a consistent involvement in the development of Romania’s banking and capital markets.

In 2006, he founded Capital Partners, later becoming BT Capital Partners, where he served as Chairman of the Board for ten years.

He has held leadership roles in financial institutions such as ING Bank Romania, Citibank Romania, Bancpost, and OTP Bank Romania.

Prior to his banking career, he was active in economic journalism, as co-founder and deputy editor-in-chief of Capital magazine.
