(P) Montran offers banks a comprehensive solution for RoPay integration
Montran, the provider of RoPay, the central QR code-based instant payments solution, now offers a comprehensive package to help commercial banks seamlessly join the new payment scheme. While the central RoPay system has been live for several months, banks still need to update their mobile applications or implement new ones to support the new payment scenarios. For instance, person-to-person (P2P) payments require QR code generation, scanning, notifications, and communication with the central RoPay system.
In person-to-merchant (P2M) scenarios, additional features are necessary to manage merchant workstations, scanning terminals and user interactions. Montran supports banks in these areas by providing a tailored mobile application for both small and large merchants, minimizing banks’ development efforts for these complex scenarios.
Montran’s Solution Components Include:
• Gateway to connect to the central RoPay system, compatible with Montran’s mobile application for P2M and existing mobile applications for P2P.
• Web Interface for banks to manage the system and merchants.
• Optional Web Interface for large merchants to manage locations and payment terminals independently.
• Mobile Application (Android and iOS) for merchant cashiers, enabling payment registration, QR code generation and display, and payments via RoPay.
• P2P Mobile Application option for banks to support a complete ecosystem for both merchants and individuals.
• Development Kit (SDK and Integration Consulting) as an additional option for integrating RoPay functionality directly into a bank’s existing mobile application.
This ecosystem offers banks a white-labelled, customizable solution with minimal integration requirements. Optional integrations are available for banks seeking enhanced automation or additional workflows.

Several banks have not yet joined the Instant Payments scheme, and Montran’s integrated solution could be an efficient path for banks considering joining the Instant Payments and RoPay scheme.
